At the end of 2013, the 6 Degrees of Creativity Random Acts of Art Adventure made it’s 16th stop of the year and country #2 after crossing the border from the US into Canada (yay!):
Postcard from the Pouch: Creative Goodness received by Lani
Here’s a look at the page that Lani created for the pouch’s traveling creative Passport.
After the pouch’s visit in Prospect, it then traveled to Julie in Perth, Ontario:
Julie’s page that she added to the Passport Book:
And the art Julie created inspired by the creative goodness from inside the pouch:
Julie’s gift of art above is being given to a good friend with this beautiful poem on the back:
By Dr. Rebecca Parker
Come, she cries to us.In the shadowed quiet of winter’s light
earth speaks softly
of her longing.
Because the wild places are in tears.Kneel down here
on the frosty grass,
and feel the prayer buried in the ground.Bend your ear to my heart
and listen hard.Love this world, she whispers.
Distill peace from the snow
and water the cities
with mercy.Weave wonder from the forest
and clothe grief
with beauty.Rest in the rhythm of the turning year,
Trace the bending arc
Rounding the curve toward justice.
And vow anew to do no harm. The winter trees stand watch
haloed in the last gleams of the slanting sun.
Glory sings here.
Heaven echoes the call:
Repeat the sounding joy.Make your life an answer:
Bow.
Praise.
Rise.

What a lovely way to stay connected and be with the world! Beautiful!
I would love to participate in this, and know of at least 20 others in Canada who would do the same!
Hi Tuula—- Thanks for your interest in and note about the 6 Degrees of Creativity Random Acts of Art Adventure! Unfortunately, signing up for this project is now closed but I think it would be great if you started your own adventure with others that you know are interested… that would be very cool! 🙂
Thanks. I will look into this!

Creative Goodness Travel Update >> 6 Degrees of Creativity Random Acts of Art Adventure!
2014 looks to be another creative year–I am always waiting to see what you will think of next. This is inspiring and it’s always amazing to see how the world is truly connected through our art. Now I want to put on my art-thinking cap and get to work! Thank you!
How does one participate in this OR start one of my own.
Hi Lesley— Here’s the post that kicked off the Random Acts of Art Adventure here: https://6degreesofcreativity.wordpress.com/2013/05/28/call-for-participants-practice-random-acts-of-art I hope this helps!
Yes thank you. I’m thinking of doing something similar on a smaller level.
Wow, I’m very excited! This is a great way to create connections and to appreciate beauty in different nuances 🙂
