During this past month, the Random Acts of Art Adventure returned back to the US after an artful tour in Canada.
Below is some of the art created by Rosann in Edmonton, Alberta inspired by what she received with her delivery. Rosann created a little journal out of a paperback book that was in the pouch and used more creative goodness from the pouch on each of the pages! Awesome idea!
You can read more about Rosann’s book and adventure with this project in her artStory post, The Pouch Stopped Here!
The pouch is now safely back in the US, starting its Midwest Tour with Stop #17 & Thresa in Minneapolis, Minnesota:
This week the pouch was in route to Nancy in Wisconsin and will be heading to Illinois next! The acts of adventure continues! Yay! Another update to follow soon or check out the pouch’s creative trail on Facebook. Thank you to Rosann and Thresa for contributing to this month’s photos and travel update!
About the project**: A 8 x 6 inch canvas pouch filled with various artsy stuff, is mailed amound participants to make some creative goodness with…then the created art is given away in a random act of art to someone else! The pouch gets filled back up with more creative stuff & then mailed again to the next participant to continue the creative cycle! This project has 40+ more stops over the next 12 months (more or less!) to destinations in the US, Canada, Italy, the UK, India, Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia.
** Signing up for this project is now closed.
Even though the Random Acts of Art Project is now closed, if you’re interested in projects instilling hope, gratitude, kindness, and giving back to others through engaging in art-making, check out the Creative Deed Project that just opened as part of this year’s 6 Degrees of Creativity workshops. This workshop will feature a monthly creative deed challenge for participants to initiate and pay forward using their creativity!
This month’s Creative Deed is dedicated to creating Tokens of Kindness using Altered Dominoes!
