Creative Goodness on the Move Again Downunder

The past month has been quite the adventure for our Random Acts of Art pouch, currently traveling in Australia for stops #41-44.  After almost a month in delivery transit from Queensland to New South Wales, the creative goodness safely arrived to Fiona in Sydney- Whew!It was such a relief to see Fiona’s photo of the pouch and know it was received OK and finally in her creative hands!

Inspired by the intention of this project, Fiona worked on a series of Permission Cards that she intended to leave in places around her neighborhood (!):

It was also wonderful to see this page spread and message that Fiona contributed to the Creative Passport that accompanies the pouch (to creatively document each destination on its journey):

This week the Random Acts of Art Adventure started its travels to Sarah in Woodford, NSW for stop #43.  Sending good thoughts for a smooth arrival!

Thank you to Shana and Fiona for all their helpful support and patience throughout the last month as we awaited with fingers crossed for a successful delivery.  This project continues to deliver in so many ways- not just in art, kindness & creativity, but the in power of faith and trusting the process as the pouch goes along in its route.

I am grateful to see this adventure keep going and all the creative goodness it continues to inspire -Yay! There are a couple of stops left in Australia before heading to New Zealand, where the international tour of this project will then end. Wow!  I am excited to keep sharing new travel updates as the pouch artfully journeys from place to place.   🙂

2015 Random Acts of Art Adventure Travel Update

Since the last travel update of the Random Acts of Art Adventure, the canvas pouch has arrived to two more countries!

The project spent the final month of 2014 in Singapore with Karen before heading to Shana in Australia:

Adventures in Creative Goodness Continues

The Random Acts of Art Adventure took a brief creative hiatus as International Art Therapist Tia Pleiman returned back from the US to her work with Create and Transform in India. Tia arrived back to Tamil Nadu and Aikiym School in Auroville last week, with artful greetings from our canvas pouch that traveled over 4,600 miles from Italy in September.

Enjoy these pictures sent by Tia as she and her students contributed to the project with lots of enthusiasm:

The group used an old box from the studio and collaged it with the materials Michela in Italy sent in the pouch to make a “home” for puppets that one of the classes made right before Tia left for the US this summer.

The group decided among themselves who wanted to work on the box and who wanted to help with the passport page for the book.

 Wonderful to see these photos and all the art-making– Thank you to the students at Aikiym School and Tia for being a part of this adventure!

The pouch was filled up with new art goodies and packed up again this week for its next stop (#40!) to Karen in Singapore– Yay!

There are about 20 more stops left in this adventure and I look forward to sharing more updates as it continues to travel and spread its creative goodness!

The Random Acts of Art Adventure travels 4000+ miles to the UK!

Just a few weeks ago, the Random Acts of Art Adventure left the US in Florida to begin its creative tour (stops 34-36) in the UK with Janette, Louise, and Bernadette:

Janette created this series of Random Acts of Art using supplies she received in the pouch, along with her own materials.  These 6 altered bingo cards (picture above: front, picture below: back) will be abandoned by Janette over the next couple of months for people to discover and enjoy. 🙂After its stop on the Ilse of Wight, the pouch traveled to Louise in Highbridge, Somerset:

As a long winter in the US and Canada has started to slowly give way to the arrival of spring (more or less!), the 6 Degrees of Creativity Random Acts of Art Adventure continues to travel onward.

The pouch’s most recent stops (#22 and #23) have reached Wisconsin and Illinois:

Nancy in Waukesha, Wisconsin received these creative goodies from its previous stop in Minnesota with Thresa. Nancy shared, “I wonder where all of the materials came from…. I thought it was so interesting to use items that could have come from so many places, to come together and make something new.”

The pouch then left the creative hands of Nancy to travel to Heather at Suncrest Studios in Bolingbrook, Illinois:

Acts of Art Adventure Finishes Tour in Canada, Heads to Midwest in US

The Random Acts of Art Pouch continues its travels and creative adventures!

The pouch makes it through many winter road closures in Owen Sound, Ontario and arrives safely to Susanna!

The pouch’s biggest travel yet between two stops happened on this Canadian Tour: Owen Sound to Theresa in Edmonton, Alberta = over 2100 miles!

After traveling so far to get to Edmonton, the pouch enjoys another stop there with Rosann! Rosann and Theresa were able to meet up for a face to face pouch pass off… 🙂

Thank you to Susanna, Theresa, and Rosann for your artful hospitality throughout this month… January completes the pouch’s creative tour in Canada and it is now heading back to the US to share some creative goodness in the Midwest!

Postcard from the Pouch: Sightings of Creative Goodness Begins!

The Practice Random Acts of Art canvas pouch we are using for this project’s adventure arrived safely to its first destination: Heather Nelson in North Royalton, Ohio, not far from 6 Degrees of Creativity headquarters…. Yes!

This is the project’s first “Postcard from the Pouch”- some of the photos I’ve put together sent in by Heather (thank you!) of the creative goodness she received.  I’ve also put together a special Google Engine Map to follow the pouch’s travels. The pouch is headed north to Michigan next…. 🙂  Safe travels!
