It’s exciting that the virtual workshop space for 6 Degrees of Creativity will be opening up again soon on March 1! I’ve been working on getting the workshop spaces ready with art, content, and videos for the variety of workshops that I will be offering throughout this year.

In the next few posts here, I wanted to spotlight the online offerings that will be part of the 6 Degrees of Creativity workshop community and invite you to join in on the creative fun!

One of the 6 workshops I will be hosting is a space for Creative Mail Art Collabs & Challenges. This space will be dedicated to mail art collaborations & challenges where participants can exchange art and creative adventures with one another inspired by the spirit of 6 Degrees of Creativity! Our first mail art collaboration and challenge will be focused on creating Artist Challenge Coins (ACC). Come learn more about how these artsy tokens can be used to empower, instill affirmation, and more!

Artist Challenge Coins

Another fun workshop in this year’s 6 Degrees of Creativity line up is Creative Goodness: It’s in the Cards. This workshop will introduce different art media techniques and ideas all inspired by cards! Whether it’s a playing card, index card, bingo card, an inchie, artist trading card or more, this workshop encourages creative ways to take these ordinary card forms and transform them for personal and collective creative goodness. Inchie inspiration will kick off the beginning of this workshop, with more to follow throughout the year!

6 Degrees of Creativity is offered as a self guided 10 month on-line workshop running from March 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014 that includes not only these 2 workshops, but 4 more too! The 6 Degrees of Creativity workshop community will include an online community to share, discuss ideas, post art, and deepen connection. Class content (i.e. PDFs, videos, supportive text, photos) will all be available until December 31, 2014 for instant inspiration!

All six workshops are available for $49.00 (US).

“The random acts of kindness pouch arrived late yesterday afternoon, and I was very happy to receive it! I emptied it and looked at all that it held, and decided to embroider one of the little sock monkey squares…I made a little pouch out of it… and will leave it on a shelf at the grocery store when I go shopping tomorrow morning with a little note inside of it.” ~Barbara

Over the last four months our pouch has safely reached 12 destinations! Hooray! Many thanks to Lynette, Liz, and Barbara for sharing their photos, art, and reflections as this pouch and acts of art continue to travel among us. After a couple more stops on the east coast to Michelle and Bonnie, the pouch will be leaving the country to spend some creative time Canada. Stay connected for more updates!

About the project: A 8 x 6 inch canvas pouch filled with various artsy stuff, is mailed amound participants to make some creative goodness with…then the created art is given away in a random act of art to someone else! The pouch gets filled back up with more creative stuff & then mailed again to the next participant to continue the creative cycle! This project will have 60 stops over the next 17 months (more or less!) to destinations in the US, Canada, Italy, the UK, India, Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia.
