I’m super excited to share my TEDx Ursuline College talk that went live last week!

It was an amazing opportunity to share my love of social media, creativity, and community building…. It was a great experience to talk about the possibilities social networking offers to connect all these passions together!

I’ve been able to creatively connect with soooo many through social networking– the art-based collaborations & gathering together that can happen online is always so inspiring!

Random Acts of Art Adventure December 2015 Travel Update

The Random Acts of Art Adventure has finished 5 more of its final stops here in the US over the last couple of months!  Yes! The participants of this adventure’s tail end have patiently waited (with much excitement!) as this project has traveled around the globe for over 3 years- 🙂

Dawn in Midwest City, Oklahoma welcomes the adventure to her creative space!

As a re-cap on what this awesome canvas pouch has experienced and the creative goodness it and all the participants have spread, so far there’s been #56 destinations over thousands and thousands of miles. This project started in 2012 @ 6 Degrees of Creativity Headquarters in the US and another 30+ US stops, then traveled to Canada, the UK, Italy, Singapore, India, Australia, New Zealand, and came back to the US this year for another 15 stops!

Over this time, participants have filled up the pouch over and over again with different art materials and artsy stuff for the next person on the travel route to receive and create art with for others as a gift of kindness, gratitude, and generosity.  Watching this creative chain and connection has been amazing!

Random Acts of Art Adventure: The Final 10 Stops Begin!

After an exciting, creative journey that has spanned over three years, over 50 different destinations, and 8 countries; the Random Acts of Art Adventure has started its final 10 destinations– Wow!

The Random Acts of Art Adventure is Alive and Well in California!

Very good news to share about The Random Acts of Art Adventure after an almost 3 month hiatus in Washington: the project is alive and well again in California, finally making it to Paulette in Woodside– Yay!   I was soooo relieved and excited to see the photo below kindly sent by Paulette (thank you!) of the canvas pouch & creative passport, which arrived a couple of days ago from Olympia:

Wow! What a long journey of creative goodness it has been, which is now going into its third year.  A dozen destinations remain and I can’t wait to see the adventure keep moving again to new creative spaces throughout California, in Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, North Carolina, and back to Ohio.

I continue to learn and discover so much as a result of this process, its participants, and each stop the pouch visits, which includes revisiting lessons in patience, faith, trust, gratitude, and the power of community & creativity. I am so thrilled that the adventure is continuing onward and eagerly look forward to keep sharing its remaining activity and travel updates with you this year.  🙂

Random Acts of Art Adventure Wraps Up International Tour!

Greetings from 6 Degrees of Creativity’s Random Acts of Art Adventure!

After an awesome 10 month tour of 13 stops overseas to the UK, Italy, India, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand the project is on its way back to the US for its final 15 stops in the Pacific Northwest, West Coast, Southwest, and back to the Midwest before returning to 6 Degrees of Creativity Headquarters!

And today, the adventure makes the 7,000 mile journey to Seattle, Washington:

Hooray!  Thank you to everyone who participated in this very special part of the project: Janette, Louise, Bernadette, Lizzie, Michela, Tia, Karen, Shana, Fiona, Sarah, Kiley, Janet, and Catherine.  Together the project survived address changes, Visa delays, month long postal delivery times, and more to keep this adventure going!

Creative Goodness on the Move Again Downunder

The past month has been quite the adventure for our Random Acts of Art pouch, currently traveling in Australia for stops #41-44.  After almost a month in delivery transit from Queensland to New South Wales, the creative goodness safely arrived to Fiona in Sydney- Whew!It was such a relief to see Fiona’s photo of the pouch and know it was received OK and finally in her creative hands!

Inspired by the intention of this project, Fiona worked on a series of Permission Cards that she intended to leave in places around her neighborhood (!):

It was also wonderful to see this page spread and message that Fiona contributed to the Creative Passport that accompanies the pouch (to creatively document each destination on its journey):

This week the Random Acts of Art Adventure started its travels to Sarah in Woodford, NSW for stop #43.  Sending good thoughts for a smooth arrival!

Thank you to Shana and Fiona for all their helpful support and patience throughout the last month as we awaited with fingers crossed for a successful delivery.  This project continues to deliver in so many ways- not just in art, kindness & creativity, but the in power of faith and trusting the process as the pouch goes along in its route.

I am grateful to see this adventure keep going and all the creative goodness it continues to inspire -Yay! There are a couple of stops left in Australia before heading to New Zealand, where the international tour of this project will then end. Wow!  I am excited to keep sharing new travel updates as the pouch artfully journeys from place to place.   🙂

2015 Random Acts of Art Adventure Travel Update

Since the last travel update of the Random Acts of Art Adventure, the canvas pouch has arrived to two more countries!

The project spent the final month of 2014 in Singapore with Karen before heading to Shana in Australia:

It’s been over 2 years since participants originally signed up for this project and this journey has definitely included lots of patience, creativity, kindness, and delightful surprise so far…..  I can’t wait to see what the next 20 stops have to offer! 🙂

Adventures in Creative Goodness Continues

The Random Acts of Art Adventure took a brief creative hiatus as International Art Therapist Tia Pleiman returned back from the US to her work with Create and Transform in India. Tia arrived back to Tamil Nadu and Aikiym School in Auroville last week, with artful greetings from our canvas pouch that traveled over 4,600 miles from Italy in September.

Enjoy these pictures sent by Tia as she and her students contributed to the project with lots of enthusiasm:

The group used an old box from the studio and collaged it with the materials Michela in Italy sent in the pouch to make a “home” for puppets that one of the classes made right before Tia left for the US this summer.

The group decided among themselves who wanted to work on the box and who wanted to help with the passport page for the book.

 Wonderful to see these photos and all the art-making– Thank you to the students at Aikiym School and Tia for being a part of this adventure!

The pouch was filled up with new art goodies and packed up again this week for its next stop (#40!) to Karen in Singapore– Yay!

There are about 20 more stops left in this adventure and I look forward to sharing more updates as it continues to travel and spread its creative goodness!

Travel Update: Random Acts of Art Adventure Arrives to Italy!

The creative whereabouts of the 6 Degrees of Creativity Random Acts of Art Adventure has artfully arrived to Italy from the UK- Yay!

This tour of Italian creative goodness included two stops: the first to Lizzie in Novara and the other to Michela in Piario.
